What is Balboa? This swing-adjacent dance, also known as simply “Bal,” originated in Southern California in the 1920s, and was popular in the 1930s and ’40s. This eight-count basic enjoyed a resurgence in the Great Lindy Hop Revival of 1998 and is now a staple of the swing dance world. Particularly suited for (but not limited to) fast music, this is a great addition to your swing dance vocabulary. This beginner-level Balboa class is suitable for dancers of all levels of experience, including students who took the January/February 2025 Balboa class as new material will be added.
Special offer: Register for both the Beginner and Beginner Level Balboa classes and get $10 off the total price. Discount is automatically applied when you put both classes in your shopping cart.
