Before the swingout, triple steps, and swing, there was ’20s Charleston and the Breakaway! Learn how dancers used to dance to the chunkier New Orleans-style jazz before it morphed into syncopated rhythms and became swing jazz. Without these jazz steps, we wouldn’t have the swingout and side-by-side Charleston that we love so much.\nNo experience is necessary for this class–beginner and experienced dancers alike can all benefit from these fun old-time jazz steps!
