We’re happy to return to this gorgeous facility for a great swing dance featuring the fantastic Big Three Trio. Start with traditional Kansas City jump blues, mix in plenty of R&B, and add just a little touch of New Orleans swing, stir together with the jiving vocals and shuffling drumbeat of Joe Maher, and you’ll get a great night of swing music that will keep you up on the dance floor all night long.

The studio, located in the Education Center at Strathmore, features:

2. GROOVIE MOVIE 2008, June 13-15

Our eighth annual, and what a weekend it'll be! Music by the City Rhythm Orchestra at the Carlyle Club on Friday night, Eric Felten Jazz Orchestra at Glen Echo on Saturday night, world champion guest instructors Benjamin Ricard and Genevieve Kerouac (see them in action on YouTube) and of course our darling Jean Veloz and her brother Ray Phelps!

We'll begin the weekend with an exclusive seated dinner dance at the beautiful new Art Deco supper club, The Carlyle Club. Dinner features salad, your choice of three scrumptious entrees, dessert, and soft drink/coffee/tea service. Cash bar. We'll have dance performances by Ben and Gen, and of course Jean and Ray.
